For over 30 years, Eliot has helped clients achieve their financial goals by developing the right questions to elicit their hopes and dreams and turn them into actionable plans. Eliot and Kathy Weissberg specifically created The Investors Center, Inc. and through Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS), offer an independent platform for quality planning and investment services, particularly for clients with complex needs.
Eliot is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and a Certified Fund Specialist®. Each designation requires rigorous certification and continuing education, and emphasizes the value he places on professional involvement and development.
Eliot holds numerous industry licenses, including securities registration as a registered principal and as a registered representative with RJFS, along with insurance licenses from a number of states. He is Partnership Certified for Long Term Care by the State of Connecticut.
He belongs to various professional groups, such as the Financial Planning Association, the Hartford CFA Society, the CFA Institute, the National Association of Tax Professionals, the Institute of Certified Fund Specialists, and the Estate & Business Planning Council of Greater Hartford. A University of Connecticut graduate, Eliot earned his B.S. in Finance and completed graduate work in taxation at the University of Hartford.
Kathleen A. Weissberg, CFP®

Kathy has worked with Eliot since 1983 and is active in all facets of The Investors Center, Inc. She focuses on reviewing client tax information, portfolio reporting and strategic planning for the corporation.
Kathy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a registered representative with RJFS, and is insurance licensed and Partnership Certified for Long Term Care with the State of Connecticut.
She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Salve Regina College and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College.
Kim Nicholas, CFP®
As Staff Planner, Kim does extensive analysis work, aids clients with their insurance needs, manages client billing, and assists Eliot with monitoring and adjusting client portfolios as goals change and market conditions evolve.
Kim joined The Investors Center, Inc. in 2004 with over 20 years in the financial services industry, including 10 years as a financial advisor in San Diego, CA and several years as a sales manager for American Skandia/Prudential Annuities in Shelton, CT. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and a Chartered Financial Consultant®. He is a registered principal and a registered representative with RJFS, and is insurance licensed and Partnership Certified for Long Term Care with the State of Connecticut.
He earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA and a M.A.R. in Historical Theology from Yale University.
As head of Client Services, Heather serves as a vital link between The Investors Center, Inc. and Raymond James Financial Services operations. She ensures that paperwork is properly completed and submitted, assists clients with understanding their accounts, and manages Eliot’s calendar. Heather puts clients at ease with her engaging personality and reassuring, highly competent demeanor.
Before joining The Investors Center, Inc., she managed the office of an annuity structured settlement firm and had several years of paralegal experience in general practice law, corporate law, real estate, and with the State of Connecticut. Heather is a Notary of the Public and an alumna of Northwestern Connecticut Community College.
As a Client Services Representative, Ellen assists with administrative support and client service. Her responsibilities include preparing paperwork, client transactions, maintaining digital documents, and managing social media and client events. She brings the fresh prospective of the millennial generation to the workplace.
Ellen joined The Investors Center, Inc., full-time in 2012, after having worked part-time throughout high school. She has intern experience in mutual fund compliance. Ellen earned her degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.
